EPIRUS SA is one of the largest cheese-producing companies in Greece with a state-of-the-art production and packaging unit, in the region of Epirus, in Ammotopos, Arta.
Approximately 32,000 tons of sheep & goats’ milk is processed annually at the EPIRUS plant. The company’s production capacity and methods, its consistent investment in technology, research & development, plus an innovative spirit combined with in depth knowledge and experience of tradition, guarantee the excellent quality of EPIROS products.
All high quality cheese production is made  from the the herbaceous milk of sheep and goats grazing mostly in the richly biodiverse Epiros region, which has its own unique flora. Cheese making is traditional to the area. The rugged mountainous terrain is unsuited to agriculture but perfect for rearing sheep and goats. This is an aromatic, dense feta, not overly salted and excessive of the quality of the milk.
